The work is unglamorous and specific. Read the logs before touching anything. Take a snapshot. Isolate what changed. Nine times out of ten the plugin everyone blames is a symptom of a server or database decision made two years ago by someone who has since left.

Everything ships white-label. The agency stays the expert in front of their client and I stay invisible behind it, with a written report they can forward without editing.

It is the clearest description of what I do for a living: arrive late, understand fast, leave the thing better documented than I found it.
